The obverse features a three-quarter portrait of Caroline of Brunswick, Princess of Wales, facing left, with the inscription PRINCESS OF WALES. The reverse displays the Prince of Wales's crest, with the denomination HALF PENNY and the date 1795.
Issued during the period of British provincial token coinage, these Conder tokens were produced as part of the private and commercial token series of the late 18th century. The marriage of George, Prince of Wales, and Caroline of Brunswick took place in 1795, making these tokens particularly interesting historical pieces.
