A historic 1914 Republic of China silver dollar featuring Yuan Shih-Kai (袁世凱), one of the most influential figures of early modern China. Known worldwide as the “Fat Man Dollar,” this coin was the first major issue in the Yuan Shih-Kai dollar series and was created to establish a standardized national currency after the fall of the Qing Dynasty.

The obverse features the portrait of Yuan Shih-Kai in military dress with the inscription “Republic of China Year 3”, while the reverse displays the denomination One Yuan (壹圓) surrounded by a wreath design.

This example is graded AU Details – Harshly Cleaned. Despite the cleaning, the coin retains strong design details and remains a desirable example of one of China's most famous silver dollar types. The Yuan Shih-Kai dollar is highly collected by specialists because of its historical importance, large silver format, and numerous varieties.
