The obverse features the laureate portrait of Queen Elizabeth II designed by Mary Gillick, while the reverse presents a portrait of Churchill by sculptor Oscar Nemon with the inscription “CHURCHILL.” The large 5-shilling crown is composed of copper-nickel and was issued as legal tender. This example is in Mint State condition, showing no significant circulation wear and retaining attractive original detail and surfaces.
