The set paired the 2021-W Type 1 (the final year of the original heraldic eagle reverse) and the 2021-S Type 2 (the first year of the new "Eagle Landing" design), both in a stunning Reverse Proof finish. The Type 2 reverse proof is the key coin of this set, as it features the debut of the new design in this unique finish.

Design Details

• Obverse: Features Adolph A. Weinman's classic "Walking Liberty" design, enhanced for the Type 2 issue to more closely reflect the original 1916 half-dollar die, including the addition of Weinman's artist's mark.

• Reverse: Features the new "Eagle Landing" design by Emily Damstra. It depicts a bald eagle in mid-flight, swooping down to land while clutching an oak branch, as if to add it to a nest. The design was sculpted by Mint Medallic Artist Michael Gaudioso.
