2006-S PCGS PR70DCAM Kennedy Half Dollar (Flag Label)

Listing Description

This listing is for a 2006-S Kennedy Half Dollar, graded PR70DCAM (Perfect Proof, Deep Cameo) by the Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS), and housed in a PCGS Flag Label holder.

Struck at the San Francisco Mint, this is the clad proof version, composed of an outer layer of 75% copper and 25% nickel over a pure copper core. The mintage for this clad proof issue was 2,000,428 pieces . Please note that the U.S. Mint also produced a separate 90% silver proof version in 2006 with a lower mintage of 1,054,008 ; this listing is specifically for the more common clad issue.

The PR70DCAM designation is the pinnacle of numismatic grading, signifying a flawless coin with:

  • Perfect Surfaces: No visible post-strike imperfections, even under magnification.

  • Deep Cameo (DCAM) Contrast: Strong contrast between the frosted, raised design elements and the deeply mirrored, reflective fields.

  • Pristine Quality: This proof strike showcases exceptional San Francisco Mint craftsmanship.

The obverse features the profile of President John F. Kennedy, while the reverse displays the Presidential Seal. The coin is sold in its original PCGS holder with the desirable Flag Label, guaranteeing its authenticity and perfect grade.
