The obverse features the classic Native American portrait, with the 1916 date visible despite the extensive circulation wear. The reverse depicts an American bison, with the “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” inscription and “FIVE CENTS” denomination.
This coin exhibits heavy, well-circulated wear consistent with the FR-2 grade. Much of the original detail has been worn smooth, but the date, mint mark, and overall type remain identifiable. As a Type 2 Buffalo Nickel, the reverse features the recessed denomination design introduced in 1913.
