China Kwangtung Province Flying Dragon 10 Cents Coin (1900-1906) – AU55 BN
A beautiful late Qing Dynasty provincial coin from Kwangtung Province (modern Guangdong), China. This 10 Cents issue features the famous "Flying Dragon" design, one of the most recognizable and collectible designs in Chinese provincial coinage.
The dragon motif represents imperial power and strength, while the surrounding Chinese and English inscriptions reflect China's transition into modern machine-struck coinage during the final years of the Qing Dynasty. The Kwangtung mint was one of China's most important modern mints during this period.
Graded AU55 BN (About Uncirculated, Brown), this example shows excellent remaining detail with only light circulation wear. The original brown coloration provides an attractive antique appearance and enhances the historical character of the coin.
